Coal producer Datong relies on Eickhoff shearer loaders
Eickhoff Bergbautechnik GmbH (Eickhoff’s Mining Technology Division) has received orders for an additional seven shearer loaders from Datong Coal Mine Group earlier this year.
With an additional six new Eickhoff SL 500 and one Eickhoff SL 300, Datong has increased its fleet of Eickhoff shearer loaders to a total of 25. The SL 300 has an installed power of 1.158 MW, and is geared to mid seam applications between 1.6 m and 4.0 m. The SL 500 is more powerful, with 1.915 MW mid to high seam applications between 2.3 m and 6.0 m.
The Eickhoff SL 500 is recognised as a top cutting machine in international high performance longwall systems, and continues to be the first choice for longwall specialists in China and Russia.
Datong began operating its first Eickhoff SL 500 in 2002.
