Chinese order for Eickhoff shearer loaders

During the first half of 2014, Eickhoff Bergbautechnik received orders for an additional five shearer loaders from one of its key customers: Datong Coal Mine Group Co. Ltd.
Datong Coal Mine Group has ordered five Eickhoff SL 500 shearer loaders.
The new Eickhoff SL 500s have a power rating of 1.915 MW and will mine mid to high coal seams of between 2.3 and 6 m. The order maintains Eickhoff’s leading position in the Chinese shearer loader market, according to a company press release.
“For nearly two decades, the Eickhoff SL 500 has been recognised as the top cutting machine in international high-performance longwall systems and has earned a reputation as workhorse with high availability and minimum downtimes,” the company said in a statement. “The purchase of an additional five machines will further strengthen the role of the Datong Group.”
