Anglo American appoints Tony O’Neill to board

Anglo American has appointed Tony O’Neill as an executive director with responsibility for mining and technology, business performance, projects and safety, health and environment.
“Tony O’Neill’s technical experience from across the mining industry continues to be fundamental to the operational turnaround […] achieved over the last 18 months,” said Anglo American Chairman, Sir John Parker. “His appointment to board signals our commitment to engineering excellence and our continuing drive to achieve best practice operations, safety and environmental performance.”
O’Neill is currently a director of Anglo American Platinum and Kumba Iron Ore and was a director of AngloGold Ashanti between February and July 2013.
