Rio Tinto thermal coal production falls

Rio Tinto’s thermal coal production has fallen 9% y/y on wet weather in New South Wales and an ownership restructuring at its Coal & Allied subsidiary.

 

Rio Tinto HCC output falls slightly y/y

Rio Tinto produced slightly less hard coking coal (HCC) from its Queensland operations in 1Q16 compared to 1Q15 – but saw a jump in semi-soft coking coal production.
