Walter Energy orders Eickhoff shearer loaders

Eickhoff has received an order for two SL 750 longwall shearer loaders from Walter Energy, a leading producer of metallurgical coal for the global steel industry.

The machines ordered will operate at a Walter Energy installation near Brookwood, Alabama. The SL 750 shearer model is used in medium height seams and has been very successful in coal mine operations across the globe.

Eickhoff Corporation’s facilities are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The group’s global headquarters and manufacturing are based in Bochum, Germany.

Eickhoff is a world-class supplier of longwall shearers, providing the mining community with over 50 machines every year. This year the company is celebration the 150th anniversary of operations.
