Komatsu Germany is established
Komatsu Ltd has recently completed the merger procedures of two wholly-owned subsidiaries to establish Komatsu Germany GmbH in Germany.
The two subsidiaries were Hanomag GmbH, a German manufacturer of wheel loaders and wheeled hydraulic excavators, and Komatsu Mining Germany GmbH, a German manufacturer of super-large hydraulic excavators.
According to Komatsu, through this merger as an integrated organisation, Komatsu Germany is better positioned to establish flexible manufacturing, strengthen and streamline administrative work, and reinforce development operations in order to respond to customer needs promptly.
Komatsu has no plans to close down business bases or reduce manpower of the two in this merger. The company expects no impact on its consolidated business results, because this merger involves its wholly-owned subsidiaries.
