Ricus Grimbeek, Chief Technology Officer and former Chief Operating Officer Australia Region, is leaving South32 to pursue other interests.
Grimbeek has made a significant contribution to South32 in its formative years as a key member of the Executive Committee. He played a pivotal role in establishing and delivering value from the Group’s Regional operating model while embedding a culture of Care. More recently, he and his team finalised the roadmap for the Group’s approach to technology.
Graham Kerr, Chief Executive Officer, said: “I have known Ricus for more than 10 years, working with him in Canada and Australia, and I am sad to see him leave. His innovative approach has helped to shape our culture and strategy and he has been instrumental in our early success. He delivered substantial cost savings in the Australia Region and has created the platform from which we will build our technology strategy.”
