EIA releases 5W15 US coal production estimate

World Coal,
Weekly production from US mines totaled 20.1 million short t, according to the latest weekly estimate from the US Energy Administration – 1.1% higher than the previous week and 9.2% higher than the same week in 2014.
Production east of the Mississippi rose to 8.4 million short t from 8.3 million short t the previous week. West of the river, output grew to 11.7 million short t from 11.6 million short the week before.
Year-to-date production now stands at 85.8 million short t, 3.4% higher than the comparable year-to-date production in 2014.
