A new league table just published by RBC Magazine, a leading business news outlet, confirms that the Dimitry Bosov-owned Sibanthracite Group is Russia’s fastest growing coal company.
In the RBC article ‘RBC rating: 50 fastest growing companies in Russia in 2019’, Sibanthracite is the only coal company listed, ranking 13th, based on revenue growth over the past three years. Sibanthracite’s 2018 revenue is listed as RUB 162.4 billion (€2.3 billion at current rates).
A league table published last month by the business magazine Forbes ranked Sibanthracite 3rd fastest growing privately owned Russian company in any sector.
RBC’s ranking is topped by retailers followed by oil and gas producers. In third place are metallurgical and mining companies, but among these, Sibanthracite is the only coal producer listed.
The main reason for the group’s dynamic growth is the expansion of existing mines and the launch of new projects, including greenfield developments and the achievement of fast access to high production rates. The group’s investments in its own rail and other infrastructure has also contributed to its growth rates.
