World Coal,

Sean McLanahan has assumed the role of CEO of McLanahan, representing the sixth generation of family ownership. His father, Michael McLanahan, will continue as chairman of the board, while George Sidney remains as president and COO.

The company also announced a major restructuring of its business into three main areas – corporate shared services, sales and business development and business operations – each to be headed by an executive vice president.

Jay Nartatez has been promoted to executive vice president – corporate shared services and will also serve as CFO. In his new position Nartatez oversees various departments including marketing and communications, safety, quality, finance, information technology and information systems.

Ken Kirsch has been promoted to executive vice president – business operations. Kirsch now directly oversees areas of the company that include technical services, continuous improvement and product innovation, materials management, manufacturing and human resources.

McLanahan is currently recruiting for the third position, executive vice president – sales and business development. This position will oversee all US operations and global sites, as well as managing customer relationships and new opportunities.

“This new global organisation chart not only provides new positions for 2014, but also insight into where we will be in 2020,” said Sean McLanahan. “Segmenting the corporation into three main areas allows employees to focus on their areas of expertise, while supporting our customers and the global marketplace.”

McLanahan is a global provider of custom-engineered process solutions for a variety of industries, including mineral processing, aggregate processing, pulp and paper and agricultural.
