EEG forms Elgin Separation Solutions

US-based manufacturer of industrial equipment, Elgin Equipment Group, has announced the formation of the Elgin Separation Solutions division, as part of a restructuring plan that will see the company focus on its core markets of coal and mineral processing, electric power and water.
Elgin Separation Solutions will stand alongside two other restructured divisions – Elgin Power Solutions and Elgin Water Solutions – and take responsibility for the development, manufacture, sales and service of the CMI, Tabor, Norris, CSI, CCS, IPE and Clinch River branded products that serve the coal and minerals processing industries.
“By increasing its emphasis on customers’ emerging applications needs, Elgin Separation Solutions is better able to respond with new products that answer those needs,” the company said in a statement.
Elgin Separation Solutions recently introduced the CMI HSC horizontal scroll centrifuge for small and fine coal applications, Tabor 14 ft. vibrating screens, Norris P3P screening material conversion kits for vibrating screen systems, CSI’s rotary breakers for processing coal and other minerals, and Clinch River belt wipers and industrial heaters.
“Elgin Separation Solutions retains the product brands that have long been recognized in the coal and mineral processing industry for their quality, durability, performance and value,” concluded the company. “The renewed focus on developing new products heightens our commitment to help customers become more competitive and cost effective.”
Tracing its history back to 1864, Elgin Equipment Group is a privately-held company headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, with subsidiary operations across the US, including in St Louis, Missouri, Princeton and Beaver, West Virginia, Tazewell and Cedar Bluff, Virginia, and Raleigh, Illinois.
In the coal industry, it provides mining equipment and minerals processing products and services, including new, rebuilt and remanufactured centrifuges, vibrating screen systems, HV and LV electrical power equipment, mine lighting products and custom fabrication services of coal preparation facilities.
