Coal preparation plant completed on time and within budget
Knoxville-based coal producer Xinergy Ltd., has announced that its Clearco preparation plant and rail loading facility at its South Fork mine in Greenbier County, West Virginia, was completed on time and within budget.
South Fork’s mid volume premium metallurgical coal operations are expected to produce an average 50,000 tpm of metallurgical coal during the second half of 2013. This figure represents half of the complex’s anticipated productive capacity.
Challenging Market
With the Clearco wash plant operational, Xinergy’s president, Bernie Mason, said, “Notwithstanding the challenging market conditions, we are excited to report that we have completed construction of the South Fork preparation plant and rail loading facility on time, and within budget.”
The company previously said it expected to invest US$ 20 million in the coal preparation and rail loading facility.
