Siwertell has won its fourth IBJ Award, this year bagging the prize in the Best Shiploading/Unloading System. The company had previously won the same category in 2009 and 2013; in 2011 it won the Environmental Protection Award.

"The IBJ awards recognise excellence in the maritime bulk industry, so this is the perfect way for us to celebrate our 40th anniversary," said Per Karlsson, Managing Director of Siwetell.

“Safe, efficient, clean operations are becoming ever more important, both from an ethical standpoint and as a result of increasingly tough rules and regulations around the world,” continued Karlsson. “Once again, Siwertell has been judged to offer the best products to meet these demands."

Siwertell shiploaders and unloaders are based on screw conveyor technology, in combination with belt conveyors and aeroslides. They can handle virtually any dry bulk cargo, such as alumina, biomass, cement, coal, fertilizers, grain and sulfur.
