David Morrison, an expert in bulk materials handling, has joined Bechtel. Due to his large experience working in heavy engineering design in the resources sector, it is hoped he will facilitate the delivering of value to the resource industry.
Bechtel’s Mining and Metals global business unit president, Shaun Kenny said: “To work successfully and long term as an engineering and construction provider to the resource industry means that companies like Bechtel have to add value to customers’ businesses. David will make sure we have the capacity to technically deliver bulk materials handling and provide direction to project and study managers on innovative, value-creating solutions.”
The new Bulk Materials Handling Centre of Excellence is based in Brisbane, Australia, and is considered to have an imperative role in delivering value to the resource industry. The centre, drawing upon the company’s global experience and expertise, aims to apply world class, innovative, optimised solutions to its customers’ projects. Integrated engineering, project management and construction solutions will be used at all stages, from concept through to execution.
