World Coal,
Results from a core sample taken from the Nuurstei metallurgical coal project have confirmed the presence of high-quality metallurgical coal.
The Nuurstai project is located in the Orkhon-Selenge Coal Basin in Mongolia. The project is close to a recently completed sealed road that connects to the existing Mongolian rail system. It is owned by the Ekhgoviin Chuluu Joint Venture (ECJV) between Aspire Mining and the Noble Group.
The sample tested was taken from a core hole drilled in last October’s exploration programme. The core sample was tested at the ALS Laboratory in Ulaanbaatar.
The ECJV said it was now reviewing the existing data and preparing a further exploration programme.
