Hyde Park coal project expansion
Resolve Coal has acquired tenement EPC 2166 from Spinifex Rural Management Pty Ltd, thereby expanding the Hyde Park coal project in Australia’s Galilee Basin.
EPC 2166 comprises 6 sub blocks, with a total area of 19 km2 and is situated on the southern boundary of the project.
Importantly, this acquisition secures for the project a significant portion of one of the two potential rail routes to the southern connection with the North Galilee Rail Project (Adani) within the Galilee Basin Strategic Development Area.
The tenement also contains ca. 40 million t of low ash coal endowment at low strip ratios, which extends the potential opencast footprint contained within the project by over 2 km. This will allow further flexibility in mine design and will assist in optimising production on Hyde Park.
