Teck Resources lowers 2011 coal outlook
Canadian mining company Teck Resources has lowered its 2011 coal and copper sales outlook from 24.5 million – 25.5 million t to 23.5 – 24.5 million t.
The company blames adverse weather conditions and labour disruptions that have affected production and shipments in Q1 2011.
The company has also lowered its forecast of copper sales from 350,000 t to 330,000 – 340,000 t.
