Korean utility looks for more coal
Korea Southern Power Co Ltd (KOSPO) is seeking a total of 218 000 t of thermal coal for shipment between April and June via tenders, the utility said on its website.
The utility will use the coal at its Hadong coal-fired power plant.
According to the company’s website, Russian coal will not be considered “for the higher value coal tender.”
