World Coal,
The American people has “registered their disapproval” of President Barack Obama’s policies in the recent Midterm Elections and are now “looking for a fresh start with commonsense approaches that can move the economy forward,” according to Hal Quinn, president and CEO of the National Mining Association.
In a statement released in response to the Republican Party takeover of the Senate and retention of its majority in the House of Representatives, Quinn was critical of the Obama Administration, saying it had slowed the economic recovery in the US, resulting in stagnant wages and job losses.
“Using the executive pen to wrap vital industries in more red tape, increase their energy costs and jeopardise middle class jobs clearly does not resonate with the American public,” Quinn said. “The NMA looks forward to working with all members in the new US Congress toward balanced policies that will strengthen our economy and provide Americans a more secure economic future."
