A. Verona Dorch has been appointed Executive Vice President of Peabody Energy as well as Chief Legal Officer, Government Affairs and Corporate Secretary. Dorch succeeds Alex Schoch, who retired on 31 July.
She will be a member of Peabody’s Executive Leadership Team and report directly to the company’s CEO, Glenn Kellow.
Effective 17 August, Dorch will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel for the company’s business activities and will also head the company’s global legal and government affairs.
"Verona is a skilled, hands-on legal executive who has excelled in multiple roles as a strategic business partner, and it is my pleasure to name her as our next Chief Legal Officer," commented Kellow.
