South Korea's EWP buys 1 million t coal

EWP bought a total of 1 million t of steaming coal for July and August on behalf of South Korean power generators.
EWP purchased the coal via two tenders. For the higher calorific coal tender, the utility bought 650 000 t of Australian products from Glencore International AG at a price slightly below US$54 per t.
For the lower calorific coal tender, the utility purchased 5 cargoes totalling 350 000 Indonesian products from Trafigura, KCH and Mercuria. The product was priced below US$51 per t.
Loading for the higher calorific products will be in August. The lower calorific products will be loaded in July.
