On 1 October, America’s Power (ACCCE) spoke in support of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule at an agency hearing in Chicago.
ACCCE issued the following statement by Michelle Bloodworth, President and CEO: “We are pleased to support EPA’s proposed Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule, which will replace the Clean Power Plan. The proposed rule is a sensible approach to regulating carbon dioxide emissions from the nation’s coal fleet.
“The ACE rule will avoid more premature coal retirements which are threatening the resilience of the electricity grid. We look forward to working with EPA as it finalises and implements this new rule.”
