According to Reuters, two more Chinese workers trapped in a coal mine in the Shandong province of China have reportedly died. This takes the death toll from the accident to five with 16 workers still missing.
The bodies of the two workers, who were trapped in the mine since Saturday, were found early on Thursday morning.
Progress has been slow for the rescue teams due to the need to clear debris to get to the trapped workers.
Two workers were reportedly rescued on Sunday, but one of them reportedly later died.
Following on from this accident, on Monday, provincial authorities ordered 41 coal mines to halt production for security checks.
