The Sibanthracite Group has received an award for consistently high product quality from the information consulting company, Shanghai Steelhome Information Technology Co. Ltd.

Sibanthracite Group became the winner in the nomination ‘Recognised producer of anthracite for agglomeration and pulverised coal injection.” The competition was held under the patronage of the China Iron and Steel Association and the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement. The main criteria for selecting the winners were ‘honesty and reliability’ of suppliers of raw materials for the metallurgical industry.

According to the organisers, the products of Sibanthracite are of consistently high quality and are in demand on the world metallurgical markets. Due to its unique physicochemical properties, UGH anthracite is used as an effective reductant of iron from ore and fuel in the sintering process, and PCI coal produced by the company has established itself as a versatile and essential product in blast furnace steelmaking.

A distinctive feature of anthracite is its environmental friendliness. It is a natural substitute for coke. Anthracite, unlike coke, does not require cooking. Therefore, its impact on the environment is initially lower. And the unique composition (high carbon content and low ash and sulfur content) reduces emissions of harmful substances when it is burned. At the same time, the quality of metallurgical products using anthracite is invariably high. China is a key sales market for Sibanthracite. It accounts for about 40% of the Group's exports.

The award was received by David Chen, representative of the Sibanthracite Group in China.

This is not the first time a company has been awarded in China. In October 2021, Sibanthracite was recognised for the second year in a row the best coal exporter to China according to one of the most authoritative information and analytical portals in China Mysteel.com (owned by the leading Chinese consulting company Shanghai Ganglian E-commerce Co. Ltd).
