According to West Virginia officials, Chris Cline, a billionaire West Virginia coal executive and philanthropist died yesterday at the age of 60 in a helicopter crash in the Bahamas.
Cline was the founder of Foresight Energy of St. Louis, one of the nation's largest coal companies.
Six others were killed in the helicopter crash, which happened in Walker's Bay in the Abaco Islands, on its way from the Bahamas to Florida. Many reports cite unnamed family and friends.
According to police, residents of Grand Cay and Officers discovered the aircraft, which had set off at approximately 2 a.m. local time, and reportedly overturned in 16 ft of water on Thursday afternoon.
