Tlou Energy step closer to CSG production

World Coal,

Tlou Energy is one step closer to producing coal seam gas, as the company continues to dewater the Lesedi and Selemo pilot pods at its Lesedi CBM (coal bed methane) project in Botswana.

Higher well productivity

The two pilot pods are gradually approaching the theoretical critical gas desorption pressure, although the process is taking longer than expected due to higher well productivity.

Indications from both pilot pods remain positive with steady water production necessitating a gradual increase in lift capacity.

Coal seam gas reserves

Tlou Energy’s next step is to increase the actual pump size in late April 2014 along with new remote monitoring devices on each pilot pod site, in order to progress the production testing process.

Production will also allow the company to certify Proved and Probable coal seam gas reserves.
