Alberta promises to phase out coal by 2030
The new Premier of Alberta has announced the phase out of coal-fired power by 2030 in a step that the new Canadian federal government may seek to copy.

UK move away from coal is “wishful thinking”
Coal will remain an essential part of the UK energy mix for at least the next ten years, according to the Association of UK Coal Importers, despite government plans to phase it out by 2025.
