Chief Financial Officer to leave Sandvik

The Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Sandvik, Mats Backman, is set to leave the engineering group that specialises in tooling, materials technology, mining and construction.
Backman had worked at Sandvik since 2007. He will take on the equivalent position as CFO for the automotive safety supplier Autoliv. This will be assumed no later than 1 June 2016.
Sandvik has begun the process to find a successor to Backman.

At the same time, I’m pleased that Mats will ensure a successful transition to his successor. I wish Mats all the best in his new position,” commented Björn Rosengren, Sandvik’s President and CEO.
