RWE is combining its 50 years worth of experience in supporting mining and power generation companies as well as providing engineering services to companies in the raw materials and energy business across the globe to establish RWE Technology International. This company is founded from RE GmbH and RWE Technology GmbH and based in Essen.

“We focus 100% on the customers and the solutions that we develop for and with them. In addition to many international companies, of course, our customers also include companies within the RWE Group”, explained Ingo Birnkraut, Managing Director of RWE Technology GmbH.

His colleague, Wim Tjerkstra, added: “The world needs energy and raw materials. The companies involved need the technology and expertise to tap into these resources. Our engineers, technicians and commercial staff are available for these companies and organisations.”

“RWE is technology. RWE has highly qualified engineers. Why should companies reinvent the wheel when they can draw on RWE’s knowledge?” said RWE Generation CEO, Matthias Hartung. “Our engineering services have the potential to grow. With RWE expertise at their back and with the experienced RWE advisers by their side, many customers in the world will be successful with their energy projects in the future.”
