Botswana CBM developer, Tlou Energy, has marked the end of a “highly active year” with the publications of its annual report and accounts for the year to 30 June 2016 (FY2016). Tlou is currently developing the Lesedi CBM project to provide power to the chronically undersupplied southern African region.
“I am delighted with the progress that we have made a Lesedi, resulting in our recent confirmation from the Botswana government that we have been selected to tender for and develop a 50 MW CBM project,” said Tlou Executive Director, Gabaake Gabaake.
“Our team has made significant efforts on the ground with sustained gas flow rates achieved at Selemo,” Gabaake continued. “Subject to ongoing testing we are looking at booking our initial independently certified reserves by the end of the 2016 calendar year.”
Gabaake also welcomed back Managing Director, Tony Gilby, who had stepped aside for health reasons. “Both Tony and I look forward to providing further updates during this exciting time for Tlou,” Gabaake concluded.
